There’s something about a farmers market that I’ve always loved. It’s that home grown, farm, small town living that just really appeals to me. My daughter wanted a party at a local strawberry farm so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to set up our own little shopable farmers market! I’m going to start off by stating the obvious….this party was a BEAST to put together. It could be done on a MUCH smaller scale. However, I have a go big or go home mentality when it comes to parties (hey, it’s my job) so we did it up BIG.
My husband built the farmers market stands using some scrap wood and the front is made from an old barn that we tore down on a family member’s farm. The rest of the details were purchased from various shops. I’ve listed them all at the end of this post.
This food stand is a structure that was already at the party location and made the perfect setup for our little meal.
I cut paper bags in half using zig zag scissors and folded it down and attached a 2″ circle sticker. LOVED how this turned out. Such a simple way to dress up plain potato chips!
Fruit salad was a BIG hit with our guests. And these cute little single serving cups were perfection.
I ADORED this cake pops and natural berry cake. It was the perfect sweet treats for a farmers market.
We sent our guests home with basil seeds and flower pots with dirt to plant start their own little farmers market.
Strawberry picking was the highlight event at this party!
Our guests were each given a market shopping list and basket and they were able to shop at our farmers market. Now, how many parties have you been to where you brought home a basket full of fruits and vegetables?! It was such a treat for the adults and kids alike!
